Amenities
Even before the concrete has poured, a spirit of community is already thriving, with friendships forming through fun and engaging events. From lively tailgates and Leap Day celebrations to our ever-popular Tacos & Tequila nights, Birdies & Brews on the course, and elegant cocktail parties, members are connecting in meaningful ways that foretell a vibrant Travis Club lifestyle.
These gatherings foster camaraderie and create lasting memories, bringing together families and friends alike who share a passion for the rich, family-centric lifestyle that Travis Club offers. As the community continues to grow, so does the sense of belonging and shared experiences among our members.
A certain sense of arrival.
The Travis Club experience begins with a smile from a welcoming attendant – gracious, professional, ever helpful. Yes, the Gatehouse offers the comfort of 24/7 security, but more importantly it sets a tone and expectation, of excellence. The first impression is of the architecture – hand-set limestone, an understated, grounded profile, a turned-edge metal roof. Wide eves and welcoming front porch are suggestive of the themes that continue throughout a curated collection of amenities.
One gets only a single chance to make a first impression. This, confident and appropriately modest, speaks volumes for the experience about to unfold.
What makes the golf course special? It begins with a long walk and clean sheet of paper. Then, with experience the plan is nurtured, honed. The earth sculpted. Endless revisions, improvements.
The course at Travis Club is being brought to life by Beau Welling, one of America’s most respected names in golf course design. Each of the 18 will take advantage of an extraordinary setting, featuring dramatic elevation changes, stunning hilltop panoramas, and memorable holes along the banks of Lake Travis. “Our goals with the design are to honor this rare Hill Country landscape and deliver an experience members and guests will enjoy playing time and time again,” says Welling.
Set prominently at the heart of the golf course, with long vistas of the lake and Hill Country, the Club Campus will include the Golf House, Fitness & Wellness Spa and the primary Community Clubhouse. Inside and out, every detail considered, ever opportunity explored, this is the masterwork of the legendary planners, architects, interior designers at Hart Howerton.
Essentials, smart attire, club fitting, instruction, Travis Club members are certain to enjoy the best of all worlds.
Practice Made Perfect
It will be the first of the major amenities to be completed… an expansive, nearly 12,000 sf locus of activity for all things golf. Overlooking the range, short game practice areas and putting greens, life here spills inside out. Instructional hitting bays open to the range as do the main gathering spaces – a lounge, bar and dining areas – transitions to the outdoors are intentionally seamless. The wide terrace is warmed by a fireplace, perfect as the weather cools. And after all, golf here is year-round. And it’s here on the terrace that the views really open up westward to the entire panorama of Lake Travis. From first light to last, this is surely one of the places to be.
The aspiration: a life in balance. The destination: a monument to health and wellness of nearly 13,000 sf of space to invigorate body, mind and spirit. State-of-the-art gear, cardio and movement studios, Pilates and exceptional personal training, the fitness center promises to be an essential part of a healthy regimen. Spaces open to an expansive terrace with fire pits and plunge spas. Here too are luxurious treatment rooms, sauna, and everything one might wish for a few hours, or a day to bring life into balance.
A family camp is by definition a place for kids of all ages, and this one, set on sparkling Lake Travis will be a magnet from dawn till dark – and especially under the stars. To begin, it’s grand, 22,000 sf with casual indoor and terrace dining overlooking the lake and the pools, of which there are two. Tennis and pickleball are here, as is a huge party barn for the Travis community to gather. Fourth of July with fireworks over the lake will be breathtaking.
These spaces are also envisioned for a rich and diverse programming calendar – arts, education, and kids’ events and outings arranged by our adventure guides. All this along with music, bbq’s and festive social programming that takes advantage of the lakeside setting. And, not to overlook, Duke’s & Tree Bar are steps away.
Duke’s & Tree Bar
The owners of Covert Ranch enjoyed a modest cabin on the grassy point that reaches out into Lake Travis. Who wouldn’t, it’s one of the most perfect places along the edges of the lake’s 270 miles. We named it Duke’s, in honor of the beloved Austin native. Now, it’s your turn. Today, we’ve reimagined it as a cozy, fun spot to gather, made all the more special with a Tree Bar, food trucks and lawn sports. All set a dramatic stage for the remarkable club life ahead.

On two wheels or two feet. Or with a paddle in hand.
Funny how the best means of treating one’s mind often involves engaging one’s feet. Peddle, run or hike, just pick a path, any path. Our 30+ miles of trails weaving through stately oaks and traversing undulating hillsides will be an invigorating way to connect with nature in every season. Much of the trail system is multi-modal, and it’s all multi-dimensional, including pump tracks, cliff traverses, and wherever possible, bridges and architectural features that engage the activity and the landscape.
There will be all ages programming and training for hiking, biking, and trail-running, trail interpretation and education, pavilions for yoga and quiet gatherings – and so much more, – including water trails and a cliff climbing center. The great outdoors has never been so great.
